HCO Florida Hunting Trips
The HCO Florida Hunting Experience
This is a mix of marsh and woods. In the coastal marsh, cast & blast trips pair redfish fishing with marsh hen hunting (king & clapper rails) when the tides line up. Inland at Clay Ranch, a private 3,000-acre stretch of ground, we hunt Osceola turkeys in the spring and bobwhite quail in the Winter in cover that North Florida is known for. Different settings, same approach—time outside, good ground, and a true connection to the place.
Osceola Turkey Hunts
We keep Osceola turkey hunts at Clay Ranch limited each spring to maintain quality and pressure on the ground.
The habitat is pure Old Florida—oak hammocks, pine flats, and cattle pasture that roll through the property.
Between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, it’s a setting that still feels like Old Florida at daylight.

Marsh Hen Hunts
Marsh hen hunting on the Historic Coast is a seasonal tradition tied directly to the fall flood tides. From September through November, rising water pushes king and clapper rails out of the flooded spartina grass, creating a short window of fast-paced hunting in the coastal marsh.
It’s a unique time of year that only happens when the tides line up—and it’s best experienced during our flodotides where the water leads the way.
